Dust Suppression
Fog Cannon® is one of the most important new devices for dust suppression: it is very effective against the particles produced by mining, materials handling, waste disposal, demolition, stock piles, port facilities, construction and many other applications.
ECOLOGY developed this system not only based on our 25 years experience with fog cannons, but also thanks to extensive studies, calculation models and tests carried out by the Polytechnic University of Milan.
Description
Cannon throwing a continuously equalized fog flow.
Available in different sizes:
sfc30, fc50, fc80, fc100, fc150, fc200, fc250 and prices of course.
Average Throw:
From 30 metres up to 250 metres with an inclination between 42° min up to 45° max on the horizontal.
Arc of Training:
About 270°
Movement:
Rear sight, Arc of Training, Surfactant Pressure Pumps are electrical IP65 driven. Rear sight & Arc of Training are also available and manually operated.
Drop metric:
From 0 to 200 microns with the curve emphasized on the 150 microns.
Power:
From 20 kW (FC50) to 400 kW (FC250) maximum requested.
Electricity:
400V/50Hz or customized as requested by the customers.
H2O consumption:
From 6 to 1000 litres of water per minute.
Surfactant:
ECS 89 or ECS 90 depending upon the dust material and the final use.
Surfactant consumption:
1/400 fixed according to the flow of H2O, equal to 0,675 litres per minute at full flank.
Operators Protection:
Protection Net, unmovable, according to law 626 and 624 unmovable and locked.
Safety:
According to Local Regulations and Laws.
Warranty:
2 years (excluded part subject to the wear).
The Fog Cannon®
- has been designed to solve the dust problem in open areas such as open cast mines, tunnel drilling operations, quarry works, street works or any bulk material handling industrial process;
- has been developed and tested by the engineering department of ECOLOGY in cooperation with the university POLITECNICO DI MILANO;
- is a patent product which guarantees the suppression of airborne dust up to 90%;
- is currently in use for removing dust or to prevent the formulation of dust by agglomerating the flying powder. Its use today includes stockpiles, reclamation operations, railcar dumps, etc;
- has been designed to guarantee the lowest possible water consumption, often just 25% of the traditional spraying de-dust systems;
- efficiency can be easily increased by introducing chemical surfactants to quickly capture the airborne powder and settle it down to the ground;
- is also used for ordering treatment, firefighting, chemical dispersing, irrigation, etc.
